Sibirtelecom promotes GPON in Novosibirsk

Using GPON technology, Sibirtelecom connected 10 thousand subscribers to the internet in the Novosibirsk region. This passive optical networks project provides network access speeds of up to 1 Gb/s. Sibirtelecom announced that the number of connected subscribers will be increased three-fold by the end of 2011.
