TTK-NN to provide cable TV services in Nizhny Novgorod region

Telecom company TTK-Nizhny Novgorod (TTK-NN) has received a license on provision of cable TV services in Nizhny Novgorod region, the company reports. Under the license agreement, the company is to start providing services before March 2013. The license expires on March 23, 2016.

Yandex, Russia’s leading search engine, has launched Webvisor, a service that works with Yandex.Metrica to track and visualize the actions of site visitors. The Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media is considering switching digital multiplex broadcasting (TV channel packages) over to the DVB-T2 standard, the Russian press reported. The move would free up frequencies for additional content, possibly for use by regional channels.
