Six projects have won the “Startup-Sabantuy!” contest organized by Kazan’s IT-Park and the venture fund Runa Capital.
Two thousand participants from 13 cities of the Volga Federal District presented 130 projects in an “elevator pitch” format. Thirty selected projects then took part in the next stage – a five-day Startup Camp that included business training sessions and educational programs.
The camp ended with a DemoDay where the 16 best startups were assessed by over 20 investors and venture funds, from which the six finalists were chosen.
Each of the six winning projects received $3,000 in grants from the Federal Agency of Youth Affairs. Here is a listing of the six winners:
- Life Print (Kirov) – testing of human capabilities based on technology that analyzes the uniquenesss of fingerprints;
- Online-Accounting (Ulyanovsk) – a cloud-based technology for efficient accounting services;
- Speakphone (Kazan, Tatarstan) – transmitting commercial and non-commercial voice messages via a centralized national network of door phones;
- Mercury (Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan) – a mobile wholesale management system;
- Gruzobzor (Ufa, Bashkortostan) – an online marketplace for transport companies;
- Mamatonic (Moscow) – an interactive music belt for prenatal education.
