On Dec. 1, the Russian capital will play host to an international conference dedicated to the international development of Russian startups. ‘Go Global 18’ is organized by the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF, or FRII in Russian).
In its third edition, the conference will cover a variety of topics and cases, including the following ones:
- How to make first sales on the US market out of a Russian office
- How investors help founders build a global tech company
- Launching an app in the Middle East and the difficulties you will have to overcome
- How to build a team with global potential: Fasten story in the USA
- Go-to-market case studies of B2B software: product launch and signing up resellers
- How a Russian startup sold its hardware product in China
- Singapore as a start-up ecosystem hub and a launchpad to the South East Asian region
- How a startup’s global plans may shatter against reality
- Why Midwest might be more appealing to a tech startup than California; and why Europe might be even better than the USA
- The legal, tech and cultural challenges of cross-border
- Hardware marketing: how to win the hearts of foreign users
- From fundraising and first enterprise sales to an acquisition by Fortune 500 company: the story of Jetlore
The event will also feature a pitch session for Russian startups with a global potential; a “business alley” with participation from international business development agencies; and an exciting after party.
