Earlier this month Yandex.Checkout, the B2B branch of Yandex.Money, announced an update of its mobile software development kit (SDK).
This SDK – an open-source software licensed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – already allowed e-merchants with a mobile app to accept payments with bank cards and e-wallets. It now includes mobile payments via Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Sberbank Online Mobile Bank.
The SDK facilitates frictionless payments within a single window interface of Android and iOS apps: “For example, in case of a payment via Yandex.Money, user simply needs to enter the login and password of the e-wallet, and mobile SDK will ensure a seamless transaction from its balance, leading to the one-step checkout,” the company explains.
Yandex.Checkout’s mobile SDK is part of a new technological platform launched in November 2017. Its code may be edited in order to customize user interface according to merchants’ guidelines. The source code to integrate SDK into mobile apps can be downloaded from GitHub (Apple Pay and Google Pay).
Yandex.Checkout says its mobile SDK is fully compliant with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification.
Currently, Yandex.Checkout claims to serve more than 90,000 online stores across the globe.
Yandex.Money is a major payment operator co-owned by Sberbank and Yandex, with a B2C service hosting about 35 million user accounts.
