Poll reveals just 28% of Russian Internet users registered with online professional networks

A poll released by SuperJob.ru, a leading Russian language employment search provider in Russia and the CIS, indicated that just 28% of Russian Internet users are registered with a professional social network.

11% of the respondents declared to have an account on MoiKrug, the network owned by Yandex.

9% have one on Professionali.ru, which raised $2.5 million last May, and 5% on E-xecutive.ru.

Just 3% are registered users of LinkedIn, the international network which launched its Russian version last month.

Another 10% participate in through smaller, more specialized networks, including Kadrovik.ru, Ingener.info and Doktornarabote.ru.

72% of the respondents said they had no account in any of the above mentioned professional networks and that they didn’t care to know about such networks.

The poll was conducted in early July among 1,600 economically active Internet users in all Russian regions.
