Several startups from Skolkovo, the international tech hub under completion on the outskirts of Moscow, will present their technologies in this year’s edition of the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show. Starting from tomorrow Jan. 6, tech lovers will be able to discover these devices in the Eureka Park zone of this international tradeshow.
Focusing on VR technologies, wearables and smart home electronics, these Russian startups are the following:
- Intersoft will present DoRa, its already famous mobile dosimeter radiometer for measurement of background radiation);
- Fibrum will show its virtual reality headset, which uses your smartphone’s screen as a virtual-reality display;
- Nettlebox, a startup from Voronezh, will showcase its “Anti-Latency Tracker” (ALT) which it defines as an augmented reality system allowing users to examine a 3D scene from various viewing angles, “as if all the objects in the scene were real;”
- Glance will show “the world’s first smart wall clock to display information from wearables and smart home devices;”
- Tradematic (SVET) will showcase its health-friendly light bulb to”sleep better and stress less;”
- Cardberry will present an electronic card which streamlines discount and loyalty cards;
- VicoVR (3Di-Vi) will introduce its body motion control sensor for virtual reality for Android devices.
Cardberry, Glance, SVET and VicoVR will launch their crowdfunding campaigns in the next few months, according to Skolkovo.
Among the notable Russian technologies presented in the previous editions of the CES were Motohelmet, a navigation helmet for motorcyclists, and the Yota Phone, which won a CES award in 2013.
