Flint Capital, a Moscow-based venture fund launched last year, has invested $1 million in Appsee, an Israeli mobile analytics company, as reported by Russian tech blog Firrma.ru. The $2 million Series A round also involved Israeli venture fund Giza VC and business angel Moshe Lichtman, who already invested $1 million in Appsee one year ago.
Founded in 2012 in Tel Aviv, Appsee is a visual analytics platform, which means that it collects data on app use and presents it in video format.
The funds from the investment will be used to expand research and development as well as to boost sales of the service.
Flint was perhaps inspired by the successful investment of Runa Capital, another international fund operating from Russia, in French mobile analytics startup Capptain.
In 2012, Capptain secured $1,5 million from Runa. Two years had not passed when the startup was acquired by Microsoft, marking the third international exit for Runa.
