Last week the Moscow Seed Fund, Moscow City’s venture investment arm, announced an investment of an undisclosed amount in Alytics, a startup developing contextual ad solutions “to optimize conversion rates and save on advertising budgets.”
Igor Ryabenkiy, one of the twelve partnering investors that the municipal fund picked up last year, also took part in the round of funding.
Ryabenkiy is based in Vienna but actively operates on the Moscow innovation scene. He has invested in a range of Russian startups, including online photo editor Gfranq and English teaching web service LinguaLeo.
This past December, ContextBroker, a St. Petersburg based startup offering an intelligent contextual advertising management solution, raised $400,000 from a Moscow public/private investment partnership which included the Moscow Seed Fund.
