On January 25, the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and Intel Corporation unveiled an updated format for their joint research laboratory.
Students and faculty from MSU’s Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics will collaborate with leading experts from Intel to design new training courses aimed at addressing the research challenges at the intersection of the natural and social sciences.
Two new training courses will be launched in 2013. The first will be dedicated to “advanced heterogeneous parallel computing.” The second one, named the “Intel Innovative Workshop,” will allow trainees to investigate international practices of hi-tech entrepreneurship and explore opportunities for startup creation.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students who agree to serve as ‘teaching assistants’ in the development and implementation the new training courses will enjoy special scholarships of 5,000 rubles per month (a little less than $170).
Intel and MSU have been working together for more than a decade, participating in cooperative projects in several technological and business areas.
