1C, Russia’s leading publisher of entreprise software, has acquired a 51% stake in Agent Plus, a developer of corporate mobile solutions, for an undisclosed amount. The two companies will create a joint venture for R&D and commercialization purposes, Russian IT portal CNews.ru reported last week.
Agent Plus was established in Astrakhan, Southern Russia, in 2004. One of its products, named ‘Agent Plus 2.0,’ is designed to create Android applications designed to help manage a company’s mobile teams, from waiters to salespersons to employees involved in inventory management and accounting. These applications can be integrated to the company’s information systems.
Agent Plus claims to sell more than 1,500 Agent Plus 2.0 licenses every month at the price of 5,000 rubles for direct sales and 2,500 through distributors (around $165 and $83, respectively).
Agent Plus is currently witnessing a 70% year-on-year growth.
Earlier this year, 1C acquired a 51% stake in Megaplan, a publisher of cloud-based business service solutions.
