From fintech, to transport, to medtech, blockchain practice takes off in Russia

ICT Moscow, an internationally-oriented resource on technology development in Russia and Moscow, has released a dedicated section to feature blockchain practice in the country.

Fifty-two practices are featured, involving such companies as Kaspersky Lab, M.Video, Megafon, Norilsk Nickel, Rostelecom, Russian Railways, Sber, S7 Airlines, as well as the Federal Tax Service of Russia and the Moscow Government.

The practices are divided into several categories: FinTech, Public sector, Industry and Energy, Logistics and Transport, Retail, MedTech, E-document flow, EdTech, HR-Tech, Real estate and other.

Each practice is illustrated by several cases. These include, for example:

  • Blockchain-based factoring;
  • Issuance of electronic mortgage bonds;
  • Mortgage transactions with electronic mortgage bonds;
  • Automated execution of REPO deals;
  • Tracking intellectual property transactions;
  • Automated electricity metering solution;
  • Implementation of a labelling system in polymer pipes production;
  • Mutual settlements between energy market participants;
  • Data protection for customers buying goods on credit;
  • Electronic voting (amendments to the Russian Constitution in 2020 and other votes);
  • etc.
