Cleverbots, a Russian integrator of AI-powered enterprise solutions, has raised $1 million from the agroindustrial group AST. No details of the transaction were disclosed.
The fresh funding will allow Cleverbots to hire new employees, support marketing and scale the business both domestically and abroad. AST’s existing offices in Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates, may be used as launchpads for this international expansion.
As reported by Rusbase, based on exchanges with company representatives, Cleverbots will become AST’s “main partner” to digitalize and deploy AI solutions in the group and further across the Russian agro industry.
“Digitalization and business process automation using AI provides an additional advantage in highly competitive industries, including the agro-industrial complex,” said AST President Ruslan Magomedkhazhiev.
Based in Moscow, Cleverbots claims to have supported “more than 50 successful projects for international brands in Russia, Europe, CIS and the USA” over the past three years. Among its customers are AstraZeneca, Gerofarm, GFD, Kimberly-Clark, Mareven, Merck, Nestlé and Philip Morris International.
This past summer Cleverbots launched a marketplace dedicated to AI-powered solutions available on the Russian market. Five areas are covered: speech technologies, data analysis, natural language processing (NLP), chat bots, and computer vision.
