The local banking system developed from scratch, and didn’t have to depend on old software solutions, thus avoiding many of the intermediate development stages that more advanced economies had to go through.

As a result, Russian banks are now among the most innovative in the world. Russia Beyond has reviewed some of the features these banks offer, making Russia one of the most advanced countries in this field.
