Startup Village 2019 to put together Russian startups major foreign firms

In its seventh edition, Startup Village, a key international event held in Skolkovo, aims to become a business connection platform not only between investors and startups, but also between Russian innovation suppliers and prominent global firms.

Five topical discussions will help Skolkovo residents and international corporations to understand each other better. Russian technology suppliers will find out which solutions are more in demand in Europe and Asia, as well as the differences in customer requirements from various regions of the world.

Workshops will allow large corporations such as AstraZeneca, Huawei, Honeywell, and Pemandu Rus LLC to provide Russian companies with advice on how to create competitive products in the simplest possible way.

“Large corporations such as AstraZeneca, Bayer, and Unilever are now even more interested in new developments than a year ago. The difference is that common efforts from Skolkovo and major market players have significantly accelerated the development of Russian startups, bringing supply and demand closer together,” says Kirill Kaem, Senior Vice President for Innovation at the Skolkovo Foundation.

“During the year of working in this new paradigm, international customers and suppliers of breakthrough technologies achieved better understanding. Startup Village is a much-needed [continuation of this process],” he concluded.
