International investors active in Southeast Europe (SEE) will have an opportunity to meet top tech companies from the region through the South East Europe Tech Tour 2019 (SEETT), which will take place this year in Bucharest (May 28) and Sofia (May 29).
The main goal of SEETT 2019 – organized by Tech Tour with support from international VC fund Almaz Capital – is to promote tech innovation and investment across the region and connect VCs, industry experts and thought leaders from the region and beyond.
In recent years, the region has confirmed its ability to continue to generate growth. The economic environment is expected to remain favourable in 2019 with an expected average GDP growth exceeding 3%.
The Eastern Europe Tech Tour will showcase a total of 24 of the most promising high technology companies from the SEE region:
- In Bucharest on May 28: companies from Croatia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine;
- In Sofia on May 29: companies from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
Participating companies will present their business to an audience of 40 international investors active in the region and 40 local investors and regional key players.
Companies will be selected according to the uniqueness of their technology, the strength of their business model, vision, capability to execute on the business plan, and the quality and track record of their management. The selection committee gathers leading international investors and senior business leaders, including Alexander Galitsky, co-founder and Managing Partner at Almaz Capital (USA) and Marius Ghenea, Investment Director at 3TS Capital Partners (Austria).
