Held in Astana on November 5, the first edition of Digital Bridge is an exceptional opportunity to discover the Kazakhstani tech scene and meet international business and political leaders.

These include the prime ministers of Estonia and Kazakhstan, as well as Hyperloop Transportation General Director Dirk Ahlborn, Global Catalyst Partners chairman Kamran Elahian, Startup Genome CEO Jean-Francois Gauthier, Priceline co-founder Jeff Hoffman, 500 Startups partner Marvin Liao, and also Bob Dorf, a prominent tech businessman and thought leader, and Aliya Prokofieva, founder of private space company Galaxy, among others.

Thus, more than 1000 visitors from 50 countries are expected to attend the event’s rich conference program, meet local startups and investors, and enjoy a variety of business meeting opportunities.

Among the topics covered by the event will be e-government, technological entrepreneurship, Blockchain, and more broadly digital transformation and the 4th industrial revolution.

The Digital Bridge Awards – ‘Best Digital Initiative,’ ‘Best Digitization Office,’ and ‘Best Startup,’ the first innovation award of these kinds in Kazakhstan – will be held to highlight outstanding achievements from both private and public players in the course of Kazakhstan’s digital transformation.

Involving government members, the ‘Digital Bridge’ will feature interactive presentations of achievements to digitize such sectors as education, healthcare, financial structures, social protection and labor, information and communications.

The ‘Astana Hub Battle’ will see young projects compete for prizes of up to $25,000, while the ‘Astana Hub Awards’ will aim to distinguish the ‘Techpreneur of the year,’ the ‘Discovery of the year,’ the ‘Best technological startup,’ the ‘Best IT project for the state sector,’ and the ‘Breakthrough of the year.’
