Top corporate and government executives to meet innovators in international tech forum (Oct. 15-17)

On Oct. 15-17 the Skolkovo tech hub near Moscow will play host to Open Innovations, a huge annual tech forum backed by the Russian government and attracting virtually every player that counts on the Russian market. The forum aims to showcase and  commercialize new technologies, and to create new opportunities and instruments for international cooperation in the field of innovation.

Over the years, Open Innovation has gained a strong international traction, as witnessed by the list of foreign speakers who will participate this year. These include World Education Foundation founder and CEO Marques Anderson, Blablacar co-founder Nicolas Brusson, Mastercard President Ann Cairns, Philips Research CTO Dr. Henk van Houten, Unilever CEO Paul Polman, and many others.

The program includes plenary sessions and themed sessions, an exhibition, educational events, seminars and master classes, innovative shows, business meetings and, of course, informal networking. Three key topics will be highlighted in this year’s edition: “Manpower and education,” “Business and state,” “Science and technology.”

A 8,000 sq.m. exhibition space will feature more than 150 innovative projects in 11 fields, including demography, ecology, education, healthcare, science, transportation, and others.

Meanwhile, a variety of startups will present their projects – from idea to prototype – in a dedicated area, “Startup Station.”
