The Russian manufacturer of luxury smartphones Caviar has announced a new design for its Putin-Trump edition of the legendary Nokia 3310 feature phone. One year after its initial launch, this new edition is dedicated to today’s summit between the two presidents.
Christened ‘Peacemakers,’ the new device “reflects the hope for restoring the friendly relations between Russia and America,” according Caviar’s website.
The case is made of titanium and “coated with titanium which has been molten to hot plasma and applied by PVD technology.” Such coating ensures resistance to damage, corrosion and high temperatures, Caviar claims; it also preserves the luster of the device “for centuries.”
The back side is “supplemented with panels made of composite jade and decorated with elements coated with 24K gold.”
The price for this device is 167,000 rubles or $2670, up from 149,000 rubles for the initial edition.
