Kaspersky launches JV to develop smart automobile systems

Kaspersky Lab has teamed up with Itelma, a Russian scientific industrial holding specializing in the production of the broad range of the automobile components, to launch a joint venture. The new company will be engaged in the development of smart automobile systems.

Each of the partners reportedly holds a 50% share in the JV.

The new company has been launched for complex applications of cyber protected digital technology in industrial systems, a representative of the Kaspersky Lab press service stated in an exchange with Russian business daily RBC on June 14.

“The company will be focused on the creation of new samples of industrial equipment, smart elements of automobile electronic system and the construction of a vertical management system of the life cycle of a product with the use of the most advanced technologies — a digital twin, artificial intelligence and others,” he stated.

The new venture will combine the competences of its founders while partnering with other market players in order to create innovative products and technologies.
