Survey: Salaries in the mobile industry are well above market average

Mobile marketing agency Zorka.Mobi has just released the results of a research about salary levels in the Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian mobile industries.

More than 400 people participated in the survey — from designers to engineers and developers, to media buyers, to top managers and other professionals. Here are the key findings:

  • The average salary in the industry exceeds $2,400 — which is a considerable amount especially for Ukraine ($2,595) and Belarus ($1,966), well above average salaries in other industries.
  • Unsurprisingly, top managers enjoy the highest salary levels ($3,319), followed by programmers, engineers, developers, and producer. Employees of the marketing, sales and PR departments earn the least, with average remunerations slightly exceeding $1,600.
  • Employees seem to be relatively satisfied with their existing remuneration level, with an index of around 3.3 in a scale of 1 (completely dissatisfied) to 5 (fully satisfied)
  • Average employee age is 27.6 years.
