Seedstars Summit, the annual entrepreneurship forum for emerging markets, will hold its 2017 edition on April 6 at the SwissTech Center in Lausanne, Switzerland. The event will bring together startups, investors, government officials, corporate innovators and CEOs from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe and the MENA region.
Sixty-three startups — pre-selected out of more than 3,000 applications from over 60 countries — will participate in a two-day bootcamp and pitch their projects to a board of international investors as part of the investor forum to be held on April 5. Twelve selected projects will then compete for equity investment of up to $500,000.
Moscow-based TalkBank.io, a virtual bank with prepaid card and AI chatbot in Telegram, will represent Russia.
The agenda will also feature panel discussions and specialized workshops on fintech, EdTech, digital health, agtech, foodtech, Internet-of-Things, insurance tech, to name a few.
