Aviasolutions (“Aviaresheniya” in Russian), a manufacturer of industrial drones based in Kazan, Tatarstan, has attracted around €1 million from undisclosed individual investors. The deal was reported last week by Russian online publication Firrma.ru.
Thanks to this capital injection, the company will start small-scale manufacturing of ‘FLYP,’ their latest industrial drone model for commercial purposes as pilot projects are taking place this year.
The production cost will amount to some $25,000 per unit.
The company’s priority targets are the agriculture, cargo delivery and oil and gas industries. Thus the FLYP drones will allow farmers save up to 75% on chemical cultivation, while transportation companies will be able to deliver cargo to remote areas of Siberia and the Far East, claims the company.

In 2015, FPI Partners — a venture fund with offices in Moscow and the United States — injected €1,9 million in Aviasolutions. That same year, the Russian team designed and successfully tested a drone with vertical takeoff and landing. The cargo capacity of the devices reached 180 kg with a flying distance of 200 km.
Aviasolutions has been carrying out pilot projects with Avgust, a major Russian agricultural chemicals producer, and Pony Express, a major Russian delivery operator, since this past summer.
