Seed startups from Russia and other Eastern European countries are invited to apply for the TechChill Pitch Battle, an intensive one-day bootcamp for qualifying startups. The contest will be held as part of TechChill, a two-day startup conference taking place in Riga, Latvia in February 2017.
The event is presented as “one of the best opportunities for new companies to showcase their idea on the main stage in front of an audience of 1,000 people, including several global investors and international media representatives.”
Ten pre-selected startups will participate in the Startup Wise Guys Pitch Academy, a one-day intensive bootcamp. As part of the program, participants will be advised on how to fine-tune their product and presentation strategy. Basing upon the results of the first day, five best startups will be selected to pitch before a board of 30 business angels from the Baltics.
A fully paid trip to Silicon Valley, including meetings with selected investors, has been announced as the main prize.
Among the previous winners of the contest are such startups as Infogr.am, TrackDuck, Edurio, Nordigen, which have attracted millions in funding.
“In the startup world, pitching is at the very heart of sales process and investor attraction. By participating in the contest, ten pre-selected startups will significantly increase their chances of attracting new team members, clients or investors,” says Cristobal Alonso, global CEO of Startup Wise Guys, a major B2B startup accelerator and the organizer of the event.
Startup Wise Guys will award its favourite B2B startup with a “fast track” to semi-finals of the next Startup Wise Guys program, which will take place later next year in Tallinn.
