Android Auto is now available in 18 new countries, including Russia, Brazil and India, TechCrunch reported earlier today. These countries are among the fastest growing auto markets in the world.
The other countries enjoying Google’s in-car operating system include Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Uruguay and Venezuela. This increases the number of countries Android Auto is available in from 11 to 29.
Launched in 2014 to compete with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto lets users connect their smartphones and control apps from their cars’ screens.
Android is the leading mobile operating system in Russia.
