Meet Innovation Russia (MIR), a tech tour intended for French companies to connect with the Russian innovation ecosystem, is announcing its third edition from June 1 to 3, 2016.
The tour will lead 20 French business executives to Moscow and to Kazan, the innovation-friendly capital of Tatarstan 800km east from Moscow. MIR aims to offer “an immersion in the Russian innovation ecosystem to discover new technologies, to spot new investment opportunities and initiate partnerships,” while providing participants with more visibility on the Russian market.
In Kazan, participants will visit the IT Park, one of the largest technoparks in Eastern Europe, and Innopolis, a brand-new “high-tech city” under completion on the outskirts of Kazan. In Moscow, the delegation will take part in the Skolkovo Startup Village, one of the most important startup events of the year.
Also included in the program are visits to NUMA, the Moscow branch of a Paris-based international startup accelerator, Moscow State University (MSU), startup investment fund FRII (IIDF) and fund of funds RVC, as well as to Kaspersky Lab.
Just weeks ago, French Tech opened a Moscow branch to help French tech players develop in Russia.
