Appnow, a Russian startup based in Tatarstan, has raised $2 million from Dutch investment company Maxforсing ВV, as reported by Rusbase.com. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Appnow enables restaurants, cafes and beauty salons to create their own mobile apps. An application for iOS, Windows Phone or Android may be created and automatically authorized by App Store or Google Play within a few minutes.
Depending on the specialization of a client, the app will display location, menu, special offers and opening hours. In addition to a booking function, the Appnow applications allow users to order food or cosmetics, delivery included, or even enjoy an in-house dating service. Content is generated from users’ activity on social networks.
The administrator account can be connected to the company’s ERP, CRM systems, and loyalty programs
These services are offered on a paid basis (4,500 rubles for Russian clients or $99 for international customers). Marketing services may be received at extra cost.
Appnow now claims to serve around 500 clients.
The raised money will be used to cover 15 new service areas, from fitness centers to dental clinics. The startup is planning to attract new rounds of investment to expand to other countries.
Maxforcing BV is a little-known company established in the Netherlands in 2014 by several individual investors.
The deal was initiated by the investors, said Appnow’s co-founder Arseniy Khusnutdinov in his exchange with Rusbase. “They approached us via one of our clients after they saw the beta version of our service in a restaurant. Maxforcing suggested to support our further development and international deployment.”
The startup had previously received $3 million from its founders since its launch three years ago.
