Banki.ru, one of the largest B2C banking portals on the Russian-language Internet, has acquired Finparty.ru, a resource offering informal coverage of the finance industry, IKS Media reported last week.
Founded in 2010, Finparty also includes Finparty Events, an agency that organizes corporate events.
“We are glad that such a unique project as Finparty has joined us,” Banki.ru CEO Philipp Ilyin-Adaev said. “The project will continue to cover the informal side of Bankers’ lives in it characteristic lively style.”
As part of the integration, Finparty’s editorial staff has been hired on to Banki.ru.
Since its inception in 2005, the Banki.ru informational portal has asserted itself as the leading banking resource on the Russian-language Internet. It claims more than 250,000 unique visitors per day and more than 260,000 registered users.
The portal helps users navigate through everything from currency exchange rates to banking ads and job openings in the sector, and even offers banking glossaries.
Last year, a minority stake in Banki.ru changed hands. Finam Global, a Moscow-based investment fund, sold its stake to Russia Partners Technologies, a high-tech focused fund run by Russia Partners.
