Last week, the finale of the 5th annual Web Ready contest was held in Skolkovo, based on an initial selection of 715 applications from 100 cities in 21 countries.
BUBUKA, a service to control music broadcasting from Tomsk, received the first prize. Second place went to Alytics, a startup from Zelenograd developing contextual ad solutions and backed by serial business angel Igor Ryabenkiy. RedHelper, a provider of SaaS solutions for online customer service from Moscow that raised $ 600,000 earlier this year, won third place.
Among other nominees were Appercode, RoadAR, GO+, YouScan, Jelastic, My Apps, Doctor at work, Zang and ArkStore, as well as C.H.A.O.S from Minsk (Belarus).
The project CoinKeeper from St. Petersburg was awarded first place in the category “Google’s Choice» for software developer.
Venture Fund Life.SREDA won the prize in the field of finance and e-commerce solutions for the Yaroslavl-based project nopCommerce.
While the jury determined the winners, all guests were able to attend the final panel discussion “How to develop a startup? Investors vs. Founders.”
The event, which took place in Skolkovo’s futuristic building Hypercube, brought together more than 700 guests: 100 investors, 200 representatives of the IT business, market experts and partner companies and 400 entrepreneurs and startup teams.
Web Ready, which aims to identify the best projects in the field of Internet and mobile technologies, offered a total prize fund of 1.5 million rubles (approximately $45,000). Over the past five years, 2,734 projects have participated in Web Ready’s successive editions.
