Salesforce Radian6 to cover Russia’s Vkontakte and China’s Weibo

Global brands will soon be able to listen to conversations and interact with the users of Sina Weibo and Vkontakte (VK.com) – the most popular Chinese and Russian social networks, respectively – using Salesforce’s Radian6, the US company announced last week.

Radian6 will enable its clients to “identify sales leads, implement natural language processing, detect trends for any topic or keyword, and uncover social influence and sentiment in 22 languages, including Mandarin Chinese and Russian,” Salesforce promises.

The solution will be available starting from Q4 2013 for Sina Weibo and Q2 2014 for VKontakte, but pricing has not yet been released.

Radian6 will be “the first authorized application to provide comprehensive listening of public social media conversations in China and Russia in real time. Not only will marketers be able to manage their own brand pages, but they can also monitor all of the public social conversations across each of the networks,” Salesforce also stated.

“With almost one billion users on social networks like Sina Weibo and VK.com, it is crucial for multinational brands to listen to every voice,” said Michael Lazerow, CMO of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Salesforce Radian6 currently monitors more than 650 million sources globally in 22 languages, including the Twitter Firehose of 400 million tweets per day.

Earlier this year HootSuite, another western social media management service provider, launched a Russian version of its service as well as an app for Vkontakte.
