RVC, the state-owned fund of funds dedicated to innovation, and Moe Delo, a Russian online accounting startup, have launched One2start.ru, a web resource to help young entrepreneurs start, launch or grow their business.
Based on an idea of Moe Delo’s co-founder Sergey Panov, One2start was designed with the assistance of PwC Russia’s Center for Technology and Innovation (CTI).
“We helped develop the concept, the ‘Startup Roadmap’ navigation tool, and a number of materials, from financial model templates to investor presentations and teasers,” explained PwC’s Manager for Marketing and Corporate Communications Olesya Kuzminskaya to East-West Digital News.
“Most of these materials were developed specifically for the Russian market based on the expertise from our global network,” she added.
The service also offers a 24-hour consulting service with industry professionals. Among them is Genezis Capital’s managing director Alexander Zhurba, who indicated that his fund had received “around eight thousand projects from Russia and neighboring countries” over the past year and a half.
Launched in 2009, Moscow-based Moe Delo secured a $4 million investment last year. This startup, which claims to serve 500,000 clients as of April 2013, is the first Russian company to offer online accounting support.
PwC’s CTI was also established in 2009 to facilitate the development of innovation-driven processes and new technologies on the Russian market.
