Skolkovo, the international tech hub nearing completion on the outskirts of Moscow, and Accenture, the global consulting and outsourcing company, have agreed to establish the Accenture Center for the development of predictive analytics solutions at Skolkovo.
Under the current plans, the Accenture center will start its work next month and reach its planned capacity by the end of 2014. The new Center aims to attract both Russian and foreign specialists.
During the first stage of operations of the Accenture Center, priority will be given to development of solutions for industries in energy, particularly in the oil and gas sectors.
Predictive analytics is one the most modern and rapidly developing directions within business analytics. It involves modeling future events based on analysis of the current situation and the history of its development. This approach allows the identification of risks as well as opportunities for business development, and it is reported to increase the efficiency of business decision making.
