Luxoft, a prominent offshore software developer with headquarters in Moscow, announced last week the acquisition of the open-source solutions of Freedom OSS as well as “some [of its] other assets.”
Based in Newtown, PA, Freedom OSS provides clients in the U.S. with consulting and implementation services related to JBoss and Red Hat Professional Open Source products.
Its platform utilizes Event Driven Architecture (EDA) and Complex Event Processing (CEP) technology to analyze clients’ systems and processes and then propose and build the necessary infrastructure based on open source alternatives to proprietary software.
With this acquisition Luxoft is expanding its U.S. presence and enhancing its engineering services and expertise within open-source accelerator frameworks for financial services and other business verticals.
