Silicon Valley opens its doors – Announcing SVOD’13

With spring just around the corner, it’s time to register for the 8th Silicon Valley Open Doors – SVOD’13 event on June 10 and 11!

SVOD is different from other conferences. Our motto is: “No bull, strictly business”. We have no prepared speeches or marketing pitches. Instead, we put the industry’s top players to unscripted conversations about the impact innovation technology will have on our lives, their experiences and successes. As a result, the audience learns about unique facts, unprecedented ideas and winning strategies from the industry’s most creative thinkers.

Bringing together startups, successful entrepreneurs, angel investors and top venture capitalists from all over the world, SVOD offers unparalleled opportunities to network with some of the most creative, forward-thinking, and insightful people in the entrepreneurship and investment world.

With this year’s theme “Ignite!” the event is guaranteed to re-ignite your passion and supercharge your creative juices for the rest of the year. You and your team members will leave inspired by our featured legendary speakers:

  • Leroy Chiao, Ph.D., a preeminent scientist, astronaut, and entrepreneur. Dr. Chiao is a veteran of four space missions, and has logged over 229 days in space – over 36 hours of which were spent in Extra-Vehicular Activity, aka spacewalks. He has flown space missions and worked closely with Russian, Japanese and European Astronauts and is an expert on some of the world’s top space programs. Dr. Chiao is involved in entrepreneurial business ventures and works in the US, China, Japan and Russia where he is active as a consultant and speaker.
  • Pitch Johnson, a Founder of Asset Management Co, which has made over 250 venture investments during its more than 47 years of operation. He is a legendary venture capitalist and is considered by many a founder of Silicon Valley. He is a former faculty member and a long time contributor to entrepreneurship and venture capital program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

SVOD’s other highlights include workshops conducted by leading venture capitalists, Stanford University professors, successful entrepreneurs, and other top experts in the areas of finance, business development, design, product launch, and general management.
