Disney enters new Russian venture

Russia’s MTS and Channel One have joined forces with Disney to create an interactive TV service aimed at children.

According to MTS, it is integrated into the series ‘After School’ and combines the capabilities of mobile internet and TV.

‘After School’ is the first joint project between Channel One, Russia’s leading broadcaster, and Disney, which cites the production of high-quality content as one of its priorities in the Russian market.

MTS is the leading mobile operator in Russia and the CIS and also a key player in the fixed line and cable TV sectors in Russia and Ukraine, claiming over 3 million subscribers to its TV services.
