In 2011, SAP generated more revenues in Russia and the neighboring CIS countries than any of the other BRIC countries. The Russia and CIS region accounted for the fourth largest contribution to the firm’s global revenues, just after the USA, Germany, and the UK, news agency RIA Novosti reported.
SAP’s revenues grew by 32.4%, more than twice SAP’s global average, noted Igor Bogachev, the CEO of SAP’s CIS subisdiary. Other achievements of the subsidiary in 2011 included the launch of 24/7 Russian language customer support, the creation of an SAP Lab in Skolkovo, and the opening of a consulting office in Ekaterinburg. SAP also integrated a salary calculation module for 1.3 million employees in the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The development plan of SAP’s CIS subsidiary forecasts a $1.3 billion turnover in 2015.
In 2010, SAP’s revenues in the CIS countries (including sales through partners) grew by 53% and its software sales grew by 84%. SAP recognized SAP Russia as its most successful subsidiary in 2010, with the 5th highest contribution to the overall corporate revenue of all its divisions.
