Dassault Systèmes provides IT solutions and internships to Moscow Aviation Institute

Dassault Systèmes and the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) announced a “strategic partnership” last week that will include the provision of Dassault Systèmes IT solutions and internships in France for the Russian students.

Among the solutions that Dassault Systèmes has offered within the agreement is the provision of the 3DVIA Composer – a product to repurpose existing 3D design data and create technical documentation, illustrations and animations of engineering products for a range of presentations.  Dassault Systèmes will also provide software package licenses for CATIA V5 Academic Learn Package, ENOVIA SmarTeam Educational HEAT Package and SolidWorks Campus.

MAI already makes wide use of Dassault Systèmes products. A number of aircraft produced by the Institute were designed using SolidWorks Campus.

“By receiving practical knowledge in the use of Dassault Systèmes 3D and PLM software, our students will not only gain better positions on the job market after graduation, they will contribute to the development of Russia’s aviation industry,” said Prof. Mikhail Kuprikov of MAI.

A world leader in product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, simulation and CAD software, Dassault Systèmes is headquartered in the Paris region, France. It has 84 subsidiaries in 31 countries, including Russia.
