Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed executive orders yesterday establishing procedures for online publication of activity reports from Federal ministries and agencies.
Select state bodies will be required to publish, in particular, information on their organizational structure, human resources, powers and responsibilities; their current activities, including rules and regulations they draft and statistical data. Anti-corruption measures as well as information on the incomes and assets of civil servants and their family members are also to be reported online.
The President’s orders were signed in line with the 2009 Federal law on Access to Information on Activities of State Authorities and Local Autonomous Bodies.
The orders apply to 19 government bodies, including such sensitive ones as the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Federal Service for Defense Contracts, the Presidential Property Management Department and a range of important ministries.
