Construction of the long-planned industrial park in Krasnoyarsk is now scheduled to begin in 2012, according to Deputy Minister of the Economy and Regional Development Vladimir Osipenko. The project has already received private investment. The government expects that the park should be fully operational by 2015.
The Krasnoyarsk industrial park is just one of many planned by the Russian government in order to encourage research and development for high tech projects. Annual revenue is projected to reach $300 million.
Planning for the Krasnoyarsk project began in the mid-2000s.
